Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management

(Note: Programmes are structured for working adults and offered in part-time mode)

Structure and Content

The Higher Diploma modules are integrated into 13 components aligned to Edge Hill University’s year1 and year2 modules and can be completed in 24 months.

Entry Requirement

  • GCE ‘A’ Level, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualifications.
  • Other qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis based on Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL), for Prior Certificated Learning (RPCL) and for Prior Experiential Learning (PPEL).

Delivery Method

Each component of this part-time programme will be delivered over a 7-week / 8-week cycle. Classes are one 3-hour session held every Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm - 10pm.

Assessment Methods

There are five components that have no examinations, students will be assessed by written assignments (Group or Individual);

For the rest components, assessments are by a combination of written assignments and examinations. Assessment Weightage may vary according to individual module requirements.

Graduation and Certificate

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded with the FY Institute of Technology (Singapore) Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management. Graduates can then move on to pursue a Top-up degree programme.
