FYIT (Singapore) Profile
FY Institute of Technology Singapore (FYIT) offers educational programmes ranging from Certificate to Higher Diploma Courses with pathways to Degree Programmes. It was set up in Singapore in 2004 as a private educational institution (PEI).
The degree programmes are from Edge Hill University (UK), which is located in the North-West of England and has a history of over 129 years. The university was shortlisted by Times Higher Education (UK) for the University of The Year in 2007/8, 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2014. The university Director of Studies (International) and external examiners come to FYIT (Singapore) every year to meet with students and to ensure academic standards are maintained. During the visit, the university exam panel representatives also meet the teaching staff to discuss the student assessments, review student work, and determine student results.
As an educational institution, FYIT (Singapore) also offers personal development and career guidance for our students in line with our mission of enhancing employability of our graduates.
In addition, we provide placement services for our graduates seeking undergraduate or post-graduate studies at Edge Hill University. Many of our students who completed their undergraduate studies at FYIT (Singapore) have proceeded to Edge Hill University in England to complete their post-graduate studies.
FYIT (Singapore) is located in the heart of Singapore Central Business District (CBD) along Cecil Street. It is accessible from either Tanjong Pagar, Raffles Place or Telok Ayer MRT stations.
Our teaching staff are academically qualified with extensive working and teaching experiences. They incorporate real life examples and case studies in their teachings, and our students gain practical insights in their academic learning. We focus on small class teaching and encourage student participations during class learning.
FYIT (Singapore) provides an opportunity for students who wish to upgrade themselves academically. It prepares them not only with theoretical knowledge but also practical, analytical and critical thinking skills that they can apply both in their working environment and social life encounters.
